Questions
Here are some of the things people often want to know before getting in touch. If you can't find what you're looking for, just ask — I'm happy to help.
-
I provide evidence-based treatment for eating disorders — including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, OSFED, and ARFID — as well as support for disordered eating, ADHD-related nutrition concerns, body image difficulties, and anxiety around food. If you're feeling unsure, that's okay — you're welcome to reach out and we can figure it out together. Compassionate, client-centred care that looks at the whole picture of your health and wellbeing is at the heart of how I work.
-
No. Many people I work with don't have a formal diagnosis but are struggling with eating, body image, binge eating, restriction, or just feeling stuck around food.
-
No referral is required to book. However, if you'd like to access an Eating Disorder Plan (EDP) for Medicare rebates, you'll need a referral from your GP or psychiatrist. Seeing your GP regularly is an important part of care, and something I strongly encourage.
-
Initial Consultation (75 minutes): $230
Follow-up sessions (50 minutes): $190
-
Yes. Clients with an active Eating Disorder Plan or Chronic Disease Management Plan may be eligible for a rebate, depending on the service. Your GP can advise which plan is right for you — the current rebate is $61.80. You can find more information about the Eating Disorder Medicare plan here.

I draw on evidence-based therapies — including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), Family Based Therapy (FBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM). No two clients are the same, so treatment is always adapted to your experiences, identity, and goals.

You can reach the clinic by email (info@holisticeatingrecovery.com.au) or phone (0422 613 839) to arrange a time that suits you.
-
No. I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with specialist training and experience in eating disorder care, and a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC) — meaning I've met formal standards for training, supervision, and experience in assessing and treating eating disorders. I've also completed a Diploma of Counselling, which supports my work in communication and motivational interviewing.
While I draw on psychological concepts in my work — including CBT-E, HAES-aligned, and trauma-informed approaches — I don't provide formal psychological therapy or diagnoses. Where deeper psychological support is needed, I work alongside psychologists, GPs, and other health professionals to make sure you get the right care.

Clients often describe our work together as compassionate, collaborative, and different to approaches they've tried before. Rather than focusing only on what you eat, we explore why eating has become hard in the first place — looking at behaviour change alongside the beliefs underneath it.
I work a lot with people who are highly sensitive, thoughtful, or self-critical, and whose struggles with food make complete sense once you understand their history, nervous system, and life context.
-
Not at all. I work with men and women alike, and enjoy supporting a diverse range of clients. "HER" stands for Holistic Eating Recovery — it reflects the heart of my approach, not who I work with.
